Slate Bench

Overview

After inheriting a large slab of slate, I designed and made this bench using reclaimed timber.

The timber frame is a combination of red cedar and ash, cut and planed to size then bonded together with weatherproof adhesive. Sanded smooth and finished with a clear wood oil.

The slate slab sits atop the frame to complete the bench.
