Shoe Cabinet

Overview

Designed to fit in a crowded hallway, I included a radiused corner to avoid any painful collisions.

I used a single 18mm thick 8x4 foot sheet of birch ply. The plywood edges have an engaging quality and allow the cabinet to show off its construction. The patterning in the top and door was cut in after the panels were painted.

The design includes vent slots in the back panel to allow well-worn shoes to breathe.
